‘Ryan Haustorfer served as producer, sound engineer and drummer during the making of debut album ‘Poppyfields’. He was actually the one who suggested the project’s current title.

Whilst working on the debut LP in 2016, I had written a little tune called ‘Changeling’, which was intended to be on the album. I’m pretty sure that during one recording session, Ryan said something along the lines of ‘I reckon Changeling or Changelings sounds like a cool name’.

I didn’t really think that much of the song’s title at the time, and also not that many music projects were being named after an original song. Safe to say, it was a pretty unusual idea to consider. However what ultimately led to me choosing its plural form was how the name seemed to embody and encompass the musical and creative fundamentals of my project.

Thus ‘CHANGELINGS’ was officially announced in October of 2016’.
